I spoke with William about a legacy PV system on top of an old roof that needs to be replaced. He's a vast resource of knowledge on PV systems, roofing, construction, California/SF codes and policy, and project management. He was very courteous, kind, and responsive and arranged to have my inverter moved as I had requested in a timely manner. I also had a tight schedule which he was able to work with. He gave me an overview of what is the best set up for me house and how to maximize me set up. He coordinated and laid out all the ground work with the solar installers. Going through this process with William was very helpful and I couldn't imagine dealing with the installers. A year late after our solar was installed I noticed that the panels that were install was the wrong ones and not the ones I original purchase. I had a difficult time getting response from the installer and decided to reach out to William. He worked his magic and reached out to his connection with the installer. A week later the company came and changed out of panels no questions asked. Without William I was not sure if I would be able to change out the panels a year later. Going with William was the best choice I made and he followed through when we had trouble with our solar. We were very happy and relieved to find someone that could repair our solar system with knowledge and confidence. The job started right away, and from the previous installation had many flaws. There were nearly 3 areas of potential fire, in the J box it was charred. The team repaired electrical, conduit, footings that leaked when it rains, put up pigeon wire, even cleaned it when finished. I highly recommend this company.

I was so pleased to have found Solar Energy Consultant LLC and William Wood online at thumbtack.com as I had a need for some minor work to be done with my existing solar system. My original installer went out of business several years ago and I was having a very difficult time finding someone to work on my system ……. no one was willing to work on a system that they did not originally install. Also, the modification/repair I needed done was small in nature which turned most of the potential contractors off to my request. William Wood was most helpful in finding a technician to repair my two year old solar system after my original solar provider declared bankruptcy and disconnected their phones. William at SEC Services helped us to get our SunPower solar monitoring back up and running after it had been down for months. We were having a lot of trouble getting the runaround with SunPower since our original installer had gone out of business and their other installers that we contacted refused to touch it. In the end, it only took one visit by a technician to get us up and running again.

I want to acknowledge William Wood our sales representative, he provided detailed information on everything we wanted to know about going solar. He was familiar with the industry and other competitor systems and programs.

We decided to buy from "Solar Energy Consultants" because William showed us more than just one option and then helped us choose the best system for our needs. I really liked that their installers have been in business for over 38 years and they were very experienced in solar. We were also very impressed with their 25 -year linear performance guarantee and the 25 - year Microinverters and solar panels warranties.

The installation process was quick, very clean and the workers were very professional, they were very prompt for the appointment to install system. Although I was not there for the completion of the system, it was easy to get in touch with customer service to get my questions answered and find out to how the system works.

Prior to getting solar, the average monthly electric bill was about $195. The first month's bill after the system was up and running was -$15! The system comes with online monitoring so I can check how the system is working anytime I want, I receive an email report once a month. The best part is that I own it and when I sell the house, it's an added value. Other companies were trying to push us towards leasing which has no added property value.

I already referred my neighbor and they are very satisfied as well, I won't hesitate to recommend Solar Energy consultants to family and friends.
